Historical tour of Boston, with Mike O'brien
My friend Mike invited me to a walking "political" tour of Boston organized by the Boston Historical Society. It was unexpectedly fascinating. We were the youngest people in the tour, by far, and I actually learned some stuff not just from the tour guide, but from some of the older folk on the tour. For example, I learned from one lady that Pi Alley, off of Washington St. in downtown Boston, got its name because that's where all the newspaper offices were, and the old slang for jumbled up printer's type was pi. You wouldn't know it walking by there these days. Now all that remains is a nice neighborhood bar.
Mike is looking for a roommate. Mike is smart, plays the drums, is part Syrian, part Irish, speaks French and is learning Spanish. He lives in a nice house in East Boston right by the Wood Island T-station. 500/Month (cheap cheap cheap for Boston). Lots of free parking, 5 minute from the T (subway). Washer/dryer, cable and phone access in room.
First/last. NO security deposit. NO fees. Sound good to me! Contact me if interested and I can put you in contact with señor O'brien.
